I’m a 49-year-old technology-minded Operations director. I am passionate about the online space in general and everything related to customer service, customer (project & program) delivery, and customer success. Supporting the best possible Digital CX. I’m great at delivering complex cloud-based SaaS products within planning, quality, and budget restrictions. I love managing large, multicultural teams across different locations.
I started my career in Development working for a bank in the Netherlands. During that time I gained a lot of knowledge about processes, security, and privacy. I worked in Internet and Marketing departments. Later, I was heading up the Internet department and was responsible for brands like Lenen.nl.
But, I wanted something more fast-paced. I wanted to be involved in cutting-edge technology, which is what I found in the online self-service industry.
I currently lead multiple delivery teams across global locations, with additional dotted-line responsibility for the Development team, effectively covering all aspects of customer delivery. Before the company went through several mergers with large BPO organizations, I was part of the Qelp Management Team. I’ve been with the company for over 15 years, across its different iterations. Over the past 5 years, I’ve also served on the Board of Directors and have been registered with the Chamber of Commerce, with full responsibility for the P&L and the overall B.V. entity. Teams that I am heading up contain the following disciplines:
- Content department (around 30+ FTE): Producers, Editors, Managers, Artwork producers + Logistics (in the Netherlands, Romania, and in the USA);
- Operations department (10 FTE): Project managers (Netherlands, Romania and in the USA);
- Development; dotted responsibility for development delivery (located in the Netherlands and in Brazil).
In my spare time, I like to read and write. Someday I hope to write my own novel. I love speed. For that, I take out my motorcycle or race bicycle as much as possible.
